In honor of American Zoo Day, we’re proud to spotlight the forthcoming EdVenture Campus at the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk—an innovative, award-winning project designed to deliver immersive, hands-on educational experiences for learners of all ages, with a particular emphasis on teen engagement.

Adjacent to the existing Reptile Building, the campus will include two thoughtfully designed spaces:
 

• EdVenture Pavilion – Featuring indoor and outdoor classrooms that promote interactive, experiential learning.
• Animal Pavilion – Offering guests an up-close look at animal care and the opportunity to observe animals as they explore an elevated treetop trail.

This exciting new educational destination is set to open in Spring 2026.
