We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Danny Rudd, PE to Principal at Speight Marshall Francis! Danny joined our team in 2009 to start the SMF Richmond office. Being homegrown in Midlothian, Danny has countless contacts in the A/E/C community and his outgoing personality helped cultivate many of our current clients.  He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical skills, and a deep commitment to delivering novel structural engineering solutions across the central, western, and northern regions of Virginia. Over the years, he has played a critical role in the success of numerous projects as Senior Structural Engineer and Special Inspector, building strong relationships with clients as the Director of Business Development in the Richmond office and contributing to the growth and evolution of the firm. His ability to assist clients on a wide range of projects in varying markets allowed us to grow a diverse clientele of architects, developers and contractors which stimulated the growth of our Richmond office. ⁠

In his new role as Partner & Principal Structural Engineer in our Richmond office, Danny Rudd will continue to lead with the same passion, integrity, and dedication that have defined his career.
