A design/build project with S.B. Ballard Construction Company, Southside STEM Academy at Campostella was financed through the PPEA program, 

New multi-story 170,030 sf elementary school founded on piles to replace the existing Campostella Elementary School located at the corner of East Indian River Road at Campostella Road in Norfolk, Virginia. The new school’s capacity is 1070 and serves K-8 students as well as the STEM program student (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). The building contains areas ranging from 1 to 3 stories in height. Construction includes load bearing masonry walls and steel framing in some areas, concrete slab-on-grade ground floor and shallow foundations for structural support. Also provided Agent 1 Special Inspections services. PPEA project. Targeted for LEED certification.
