Located near Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia the new Sentara Brock Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art cancer research, early detection, and treatment facility-a collaboration of Sentara Medical Group, Virginia Oncology Associates and Eastern Virginia Medical School all under one roof. 

Speight Marshall Francis served as Structural Engineer of Record and Agent 1 Special Inspector for a 253,000 sf,           five-story, core & shell medical facility with covered ground-level parking. This new patient-centered facility transforms cancer care in Hampton Roads by bringing together expert care teams, community organizations, and holistic cancer treatment services within one location. Sentara Brock Cancer Center houses essential and optional services including Advanced Imaging Center, Comprehensive Breast Center, Therapy Center, Radiation Oncology, a rehabilitation gym, a retail shop, Sentara’s first outpatient palliative care clinic in Hampton Roads, and an outdoor Healing Garden to provide a calm environment for patients and their loved ones. Project completed in Revit. $93.5 M construction cost.
