Speight Marshall Francis (d/b/a SMF Engineering), a trusted leader in structural engineering, is pleased to announce the addition of Doug Sweeney, PE | SE as Senior Structural Engineer. With a wealth of experience in complex structural design and project management, Sweeney brings valuable expertise that strengthens the firm’s capabilities across a wide range of market sectors.
Doug Sweeney joins the firm with over 29 years of experience in structural engineering, including significant work on UNC Charlotte Bio-Informatics Building, Novant Kernersville Hospital, Charlotte Douglas International Airport – Terminal D & E Expansion and the Sharon at Southpark Senior Living. Known for his innovative problem-solving, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, Sweeney has led multi-disciplinary teams on projects throughout the region and beyond.
